Trading fees
The trading fee is 1% of trade volume, on buys and on sells. On the curve it is paid in HYPE; after graduation the pool takes it in whichever token comes in: HYPE on buys, the coin on sells, and pays it out the same way.
| Recipient | On the curve | After graduation |
|---|---|---|
| Creator | 0.30% | 0.30% |
| Protocol | 0.70% | the rest |
| Project X | — | its share |
| Total | 1.00% | 1.00% |
After graduation the coin trades in a Project X pool with a 1% fee. Project X keeps its share, and the rest is earned by the locked liquidity and split between the creator and the protocol. Mooner's contract reads Project X's share from the pool, so the creator keeps exactly 0.30% and Project X's share comes out of the protocol's part.
Other costs
| Item | Amount | Paid to |
|---|---|---|
| Launching a coin | 0.015 HYPE | Protocol |
| Excess tax, on the part of a buy past the coin's max | 5% of what that part costs | Protocol |
| Migration fee, at graduation | 0.02 HYPE, taken from what the curve raised: it pays for the graduation transaction | Protocol |
| Network fees | A small fee in HYPE | The network |
The 5% tax is separate from the trading fee. It is never charged on a buy that stays under the max, and it is not burned.
Mooner's contracts enforce hard ceilings, whatever the configuration says: the total trading fee on the curve can never exceed 3%, and the migration fee can never exceed 2 HYPE. A change of settings only applies to coins launched after it: each curve keeps the settings it was born with.
