How to trade

Before graduation, every coin trades on its bonding curve: you buy and sell in HYPE directly against Mooner's contracts, and the price moves with every trade. After graduation it trades on Project X.

The rules travel with the coin

The rules are not a feature of the Mooner website. They live in the contracts, so they apply to every trade, wherever it comes from: Mooner, a trading terminal, a bot, or anything else that sends a transaction. The max per wallet, the 5% tax past it and the launch-block protection are the same for everyone.

Aggregators that route through their own contract (DEX aggregators)Sells only: buys routed through another contract are refusedYes, through the pool

The curve refuses routed buys on purpose: through another contract, a single transaction could buy the max for a crowd of wallets at once.

Good to know

  • The 5% tax. A buy that takes your wallet past the coin's max pays 5% on the part over it. Mooner shows it before you sign.
  • Slippage. Set your tolerance; if the price moves past it before your trade lands, the trade fails and nothing is spent but the network fee.
  • Selling. While the coin is on its curve you can sell back to it at any time, except in the block you bought in. Selling frees room under your max again. Once the curve sells out, you sell in the Project X pool.
